Tu, in procreate I use 6b and in Corel painter I’m using real 2b
Nice work. Lighten up on the outlines for a more convincing illusion.
Nathan, haven’t noticed anything on our end. Just today? If you go back to the earlier lessons to those play better?
What resolution is your player set to?

It was done intentionally to show how to paint over a previous painting. This is an important skill especially if you have a limited budget for materials or you’re on a painting trip and you don’t have the ability to get more canvas. It can be disorienting and frustrating but first but it’s by design. So yes, we do feel it’s important for students to learn and understand how to do this.

It’s now part of this course

The terminology may have changed over the years but everything on figure from Steve published so far is part of that!
Petr,
You learn about this concept in these courses. Please do these before color bootcamp!

Mood, setting, narrative, commission requirement. If it’s a horror type of scene you probably want low key. If it’s a night time scenario. It’s an important step 1 design consideration.
It’s impossible to record the model from the instructor’s perspective. Their head position determines the view of the model and therefore a camera can’t be there. There are alternate ways of dealing with this issue such as having the instructor draw from reference images and more recent courses often go that route (not always, some instructors don’t work from photos).
Welcome, from the other side of the country!
Welcome, Raven! Great work here!
I think the best way to learn how to draw boxes in perspective is by really plotting them out correctly. Once you’re really comfortable with that “sketch perspective” becomes much easier.
