Day 8 my lack of time is actually quite frustrating but I hoping the weekend actual gives me some time to watch a video or two 😀 and spend more than 5 minutes drawing at night

Just barely scraping through the challenge at the minute my lack of time after work, food, family etc is becoming apparent – buts it’s good because even if I can only make a small amount of time it’s more than I was before 😀 I am aware that is a very short femur 😂 but I am now remembering all the names of the bones and quite a few muscles 👍

Croquis cafe is free and has videos of life drawing models in various timed poses – it’s excellent for figure drawing! 👍

I quite like the badges, although I had to look around to figure out how and why they appear so that could be explained some where if it isn’t already, but it would be cool if there was motivation to collect them as they grow in number – two ideas 1 collect badges to be in with a chance every so often to get a premium feature for a month (pick one user for example every few months) 2 build a trophy cabinet page (badges) that we can fill up as a way to track progress through various challenges.

I agree with others more challenges will build the community and naturally build engagement / support network.

I think healthy competition is a great idea so longer challenges would be good in different areas of art figure, landscape etc but ultimately that would require a judge of some kind which takes it into the critique/ premium section but if it was once a year and the selected work could go onto a virtual gallery it would be kind of a next level feature 👍 it would be a good way to showcase the output and effectiveness of the training provided to new artists thinking of joining the site.

    more ideas to come 😂

Thanks Natalie – looks like it’s been fixed today, could I add to the request? we have a button for no nudity it would be good to have a button for nudity, when looking for figures to study anatomy or just do figure drawing it would make sense to add it in – Thanks 😀

Day 4 another bad day for output but the day job and everything in between is a valid excuse, I did at least get 20 mins doing some very rough gestures I won’t call them studies because they were quick to just stick to the task – tomorrow I will make time before I am half asleep and worn out from the day 😃

No problem at all, I am guilty of holding the pencil too close the the tip but you get much broader smoother sweeps the further back you go – good luck with your studies 👍
