day 32: I think I’ll finish up this side view tomorrow and starting the back view as well. The reason why I’m ignoring the foot is that my current setup is really limited, I only have a drawing board this big, and the paper is two sheets of rough newsprint which I made sure that they were still connected at the glue binding when I tore them from the pad. 😀 anyways. I think it is a good practice to stare at this for long enough, regardless of how bad the rendering is.

@martakitka Thanks for visiting and yup ^^. Rumor says that 2 value exercise is helpful for 2D illustration.
For some reason it is not showing. so here’s day 26-27. Yesterday I started writing a post but I forgot to submit??
edit: the shadow around the kneecap to its left should be darker.

Very nice work! I myself thought about studying composition as demoed in Bill Perkins’ course but have never tried to devote 100 days to it. Looking forward to seeing more!
Day 24: Busy with work today. So you know, why not, do some silhouette/light and shadow exercise. I think I’m looking at the details too much for now, and it is a good time to take a break and just look at the form as a whole once in a while.
I’ll probably start the anatomy of legs over the weekend.
I like how the lines and shapes are so full of tension!

I really like the color on Day 15-16, and all subsequent ones. Like, the choice of color is subjective yet realistic, so it has a painter-ly feeling to it.
