    Hi!

    I’m so excited about this challenge! Bill Perkin’s lessons inspired me to work on my values and composition skills.
    My goal is to post every day:

    – one value study of an existing image/illustration/photo (full range of values or limited)

    – one orginal value composition of my own.

    I’m working as a book illustrator and tackle many different problems in my works. So I will be working on a wide range of subjects.

    Hi Marta,

    This is a really interesting challenge topic! In monochrome, it’s easy to see the great contrast you have between the focal points/characters and their backgrounds. They read very clearly. Looking forward to seeing more!

    Yes, that’s true , drawing pictures with just few values in hand is said to improve composition skills and I’m really hoping to level up. The concept is new for me but I feel like it’s very crucial for good picture making.

    Very nice work! I myself thought about studying composition as demoed in Bill Perkins’ course but have never tried to devote 100 days to it. Looking forward to seeing more!

    I’m new to this whole „value study” idea. Creating an image composition using just values was such a struggle for me that I decided to work on it. Thanks for kind works and I’m happy to see you in my topic!
