    Ok, I reeaaaally let the posting slip, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been putting the work in! I had a lot of catching up to do on my work for the Anatomy Master Class (still not quite there yet) and have been working away on the commission at the same time, alternating between the two. I really need to figure out how I’m going to divide my time between course work and personal/professional projects, as I probably spent a bit too much time on the latter at the expense of the former.

    I’ve done some more work on the double portrait today but I don’t think you’d notice much change, so here are some little figure studies for a painting idea. You can definitely see my weaknesses when it comes to drawing the figure from imagination here.

    DAY 60

    Started on the week 8 assignment for the anatomy master class, which is to draw the flesh layer of the front, rear and side views of the figure without life references. We will see how it turns out, but I really want to knock this one out of the park.

    Thanks Luka! I’m a stay-at-home dad, so I have a fair bit of time on my hands when the wee one is at nursery. This is still the hardest I’ve worked on my art in years though!
