Love this course so far – just so darn playful and really educational at the same time. Thank you Charles!

January 13, 2022 at 12:39 am in reply to: Massive Course Updates: More Structure, More Assignments, More Mastery #2083871Eikfrank – If the videos were poor I would agree, but for me, learning to draw from the most basic and gradually more advanced help me get rid of some bad habits, and when I feel I don’t evolve I might skip a few lessons and maybe take another course that better helps me with my weak points. As long as I make sure I am not quitting to avoid resistance or stick to doing things I already think I know. Being patient, diligent and thorough with the most basics, and perhaps tedious, skills will make your learning so much faster and rewarding down the line. Of course you cannot follow everything, you have to choose a course or three and stick with it.
Well, that was just my perspective, for what it is worth.
Closed Captions:
CC settings need to come back (font size, placement on screen etc).
Reeeeaaally handy to be able to reduce font size and move subtitles, so you can see what instructors are drawing at the bottom of video! Important for us non english people ! 🙂And I realized how handy the transcripts are. I can go back after painting/drawing along the lessons, and make notes afterwards, without having to watch the whole lesson over again – really really saves me precious time. Time is money!! 🙂
Really hope that both CC settings, and transcript, will continue to be a part of NMA in v3, cause they both are so professional and adds so much usefulness!
BTW – NMA is taking my art and skills to a much better and more professional level, so I am not a sour grape, despite some gripes I may have. Really thankful for it.
December 30, 2021 at 10:14 am in reply to: what do you guys think about reference images in v3 beta? #2048055Hi, thanks for reply. Checked download preferences in Edge (on windows PC). Nothing in the folder that was listed there. I am sticking to v2 while I can, not wasting time on support right now – I’ll waste the time when I have to 🙂
Still think you should just let people decide where they want their files saved though.
suggestions from me would be to take some courses in landscape painting (composition) and/or portrait painting/drawing as well. Learning to paint or draw other things gives you a fresh look at the human body and new ways to interpret its shapes.
Yeah, guess, or hope, they will fix it pretty soon since more people experience the same
Found this under a different post: “You can revert back to v2.0 via your Account > Beta Program, then untick the opt-in button.”
I did that, pressed “submit” aaaaand…. nothing happened. 🙂
great teacher,a great class!
Is there any way to customize captions? (choose size and position) Cause the text is often on top of whats being drawn. If not, could it be added?
