    Hi Daniel

Thanks for the clarification. Is this chapter 2 you link to part of A Beginner’s Guide to Drawing? Sometimes I have difficulties navigating between lessons/chapters really 🙂

    Hi Daniel

It’s right at the end of the video when the exercise is presented.

    Hello

In Using and Controlling Value: Demonstration 2 exercise “a three value matrix” is mentioned. What’s that? I know about value scale, range, groups mentioned though

@Joshua: what do you mean by

“always focus on more knowledge based approaches”? Thanks 🙂

    Hi Cem

Welcome to NMA! I’m sure you’ll find something useful or a lot here – it really is a golden resource. However, don’t get stuck in tutorials only – just as important to draw and practice on your own.

    Hi Francesco

Love to read about your journey! I went into engineering too and want a creative outlet. Hope we can connect, not sure if there’s a DM feature?

    Hey Josseline

Thanks! I’m really excited about the gesture courses too, I started looking at one with Vilpuu. However I will be reviewing some of the basics for beginners too as there’s always something new to learn. I try to to balance it out with actually practicing, as that’s the only way to get better and lowering the barriers for getting started on a blank page.

Did you complete the basics here at NMA?
