I’m learning a lot by following your efforts, Jakob, well done!  I watched Mr Rey’s video (thank you Mr Rey) and found that very interesting.  I haven’t properly started with figure drawing – I’m still working my way through the beginner’s class.  Best wishes, David.

I noticed once more that putting drawings aside and looking at them the next day really helps. There are so many mistakes that jump into my face, that I am getting used to while I draw them.

I still have the tendency to make the nose or jaw part of the face too long when I already established correct proportions of the brow line being in the middle.

Hi Jakob, To my eyes, these figures have a more natural look than your previous drawings – well done!

A lot of fundamentals didnt reach my reptile brain yet and whenever I lose focus I immediately make more mistakes but it feels like things slowly stick to me.
I will move on to the part of Steve Huston’s beginner class about the general propotions now and still revisit the prior lectures.

I am mostly focused on capturing the correct position of the body and building some forms that I can see on top of it after that.
Using specific marks to indicate if an area is soft or hard / looking at edges was not something I didnt think a lot about yet and I dont know if paying attention to that is really worth it at this stage.
