I agree with JohnBranco, this whole course has been amazing. I’m partway though this really long drawing, and it’s so incredibly tough. My only negative is that I really wish hands and feet were covered before doing the whole figure; most of my drawing looks quite good thanks to all of the previous anatomy lessons, but my renderings of the hands and feet are pretty hopeless! The feet especially……
Also kudos to the model Mark, who stood for many hours with barely any movement….what a pro!
Me again! This segment on arm anatomy was by far the toughest, as there are so many parts, most of which have massively long names, and without the transcript it was a nightmare to figure out their spelling. I resorted to using external sources for anatomy drawings that had been labelled. I (and I’m sure others) would really appreciate a page or two in the reference section which includes labelled diagrams, along with a transcript to follow along with. Right now I have no idea if my drawings are correct at all. Thank you!
There’s no transcript for this section? Hope I can spell all the names right!
That moment halfway through the videos when I realise that Iliya is looking at and drawing the leg from a slightly different angle to what’s being shown on screen, and me wondering why my drawing doesn’t look quite like his! This is particularly noticeable from the anterior view, so I really hope I have labelled my drawings correctly; I got a bit confused with some of the areas!
Thanks – I have been doing other sorts of art for a while but portraiture is very new. Up until last year I was a portrait photographer, but drawing people is an entirely new level of difficulty!
I found this lesson was really helpful after studying some of the other more in-depth anatomical skull videos. This one was great for getting overall proportions, and I am able to draw skulls a lot faster and more accurately now. Love the Boba Fett reference!
