Day 28 – Pen value exercises for school.

The assignment was to demonstrate value ranges with graphite and no blending or smudging tools, including our hands. This took forever because I was trying to achieve a likeness, combined with the rules of the assignment and my like of skill at heads, I worked on this for 3 days and still hate it. For the rest of to class exercises, I’m going to stick with something more forgiving.
Only counting this as one day 😓
This was a major lesson in taking breaks and standing back. During one of the sessions when I was too zoned in, I didn’t even realize the facial features were way off. I was cracking up when I first stood back. Then (figuratively) crying as I tried to fix it over and over 😂
