In week eight, instructor Steve Huston will be creating a study of a Thomas Eakins painting. Steve will teach you how to use symmetry as an artistic tool to anchor the forms. You will practice breaking down the figure into a series of simplified shapes and planes upon which a light source interacts.

Throughout this course, you’ll have access to the NMA community for feedback and critiques to improve your work as you progress.
