In week one, Glenn will guide you through sketching landscape thumbnails on location. He will begin by using the point-to-point method with graphite. Starting from a single point, you’ll build outward, focusing on the overall proportions and shapes of the subject. You will then learn to arrange the elements of your landscape across multiple thumbnails to create compelling compositions, exploring mark-making, value, and color.

Throughout this course, you’ll have access to the NMA community for feedback and critiques to improve your work as you progress.
