In week four, you will learn about composition, as Stapleton demonstrates with a scene from Hidden Valley in Joshua Tree. You will learn multiple ways to compose the same scene by giving emphasis to different elements within it. Next, in Rattlesnake Canyon, Stapleton teaches you the importance of planning your design in order to accomplish a successful landscape painting from start to finish.

Throughout this course, you’ll have access to the NMA community for feedback and critiques to improve your work as you progress.
