One distinction of New England-style painting is that landscape artists, like Stapleton Kearns, often finish up their paintings in the studio, after leaving the location. In week thirteen, Stapleton walks you through this process, including how to choose which painting to bring to completion. Here you will learn how to entirely focus on design, without the ability to paint from life. This lesson includes a lecture by Stapleton and T.M Nicholas, on Charles Movalli and his work at the Rockport Art Association.
Throughout this course, you’ll have access to the NMA community for feedback and critiques to improve your work as you progress.
