    I like Chris’s approach to asking the deeper “whys” when approaching a drawing. But ironically, he shows a  a picture of a woman on all fours\on knees and asks “what is she doing?”

    Me: “being an example of the male gaze?”

    Many of the photos/reference are great. This example just struck me the wrong way.

    Thanks Natalie for answering. I’m glad I got to watch him before he left NMA. Of course there are still more great videos/ instructors to learn from here. Thanks.

    I just want to say I got a kick out of this video lesson. Like when Vilipu turns to the camera and grins, “It’s the Simpsons!” Obviously. Or when he whips out a teeny skeleton arm, “I think this was a squirrel….(pause) it’s a long story…(another pause)…this poor squirrel.”

    Not only do I want to draw more animals now, but also collect their skeletons. What a great guy.
