In week one, instructor Sheldon Borenstein will teach you the fundamentals of gesture drawing, an aspect of figure drawing that tells stories and gives the body rhythm. Sheldon will demonstrate the weight, balance, and proportion of standing figures. You will learn how mark-making can aid in the readability of your gesture drawings.

Throughout this course, you’ll have access to the NMA community for feedback and critiques to improve your work as you progress.
