In week eight, instructor Chris Legaspi will teach you how to handle a challenging painting medium; watercolor. You will study the basic concepts of “Alla prima” painting, meaning “at first attempt” in Italian. Chris will show you how to control the bleeding and soaking tendencies of watercolor. From there, you will be able to adjust your composition and be cautious with your application.

Throughout this course, you’ll have access to the NMA community for feedback and critiques to improve your work as you progress.
