In week 12, instructor Steve Huston will give an in-depth lecture on the outdoor color theory of impressionist artists. You will explore a formula these painters take on; light equals color. Steve will teach you ways to use warm and cool colors in conjunction to improve your paintings. He will also analyze masterworks by Peder Severin Krøyer and Joaquin Sorolla to help you apply vibrant colors to your artwork.

Throughout this course, you’ll have access to the NMA community for feedback and critiques to improve your work as you progress.
