In week one, instructor Joe Altwer will introduce you to the materials needed for the course and show you how to set up a pear to paint from life. You will learn to create the initial drawing using sight-size. Joe will walk you through his color mixing technique with a limited palette. You will then watch him block in the big shapes of his painting.

Throughout this course, you’ll have access to the NMA community for feedback and critiques to improve your work as you progress.
