This is an archive of the Master Monday #5 stream. During this week, your host NMA founder Joshua Jacobo lectured on a master drawing by Bernard-Romain Julien (1802-1871), Cours de Dessin Pl. 68, Portrait. He demonstrates his approach for copying this drawing and presented tips for getting the most out of your master copies.

Join Joshua Jacobo for our weekly Master Monday interactive stream, where he teaches you to make copies of master drawings. Each week features a different parameter. Joshua will go over images of the masterworks while lecturing on their importance in the art world. He will also share with you the ideas of exemplifying and his approach to making a master copy. Afterward, it will be your turn to draw from references and submit your completed drawings to the New Masters Academy Discord channel. Joshua will critique as many of the submitted drawings as he can. This event is free, but you must RSVP to attend: https://live.nma.art/master-monday
