The Spirit of the Pose

In this new series, figure drawing instructor, Karl Gnass, will show you how to draw an entire figure through his five crucial stages: Gesture, Formulation, Anatomy, Light and Tone, and Aesthetics. In this lesson, Karl will show you “how to tell a story” through gesture. He will then describe how to establish the feeling of the pose as well as showing you how to draw through and around the forms.
