In week 11, instructor Daxiong Guo will demonstrate his rendition of the traditional Monkey King character. You will learn about the characteristics and traditions this character possesses. Daxiong will develop the character with penciling. Then, he will introduce the full color and inking of the Monkey King character, including gouache and brush effects.

Throughout this course, you’ll have access to the NMA community for feedback and critiques to improve your work as you progress.
