In week eight, Judy Fox defines what it means to finish a portrait bust by resolving the sculpture volume by volume with clear direction and clean connections. You will learn how to work from large to small, control the outline from multiple angles, and use cross-contour checks to keep forms believable in space. Judy demonstrates how to refine facial and torso transitions without cutting against the underlying structure, and how tools can be used to clean up planes without damaging neighboring forms. The lesson concludes with Judy’s definition of done: every area must belong to a readable form, have direction, and meet its neighbors cleanly.
