In week two, you will be introduced to the process of blocking the major measuring points of a marble sculpture. Instructor Moritz Moser will demonstrate how to use a pneumatic hammer on stone and guide you through a reductive sculpting process to identify the key measuring points. You will also learn how to remove excess material from the stone in order to create a space for taking precise measurements.
