In week three, instructor Steve Huston will teach you the visual components used to develop a composition for landscape art. You will learn how to apply the idea of affinity versus contrast in the design of your artwork. Steve will show you how to arrange and pace your composition to support the read of the image. Then, you will watch Steve demonstrate how to create compositional thumbnails using various landscape references.

Throughout this course, you’ll have access to the NMA community for feedback and critiques to improve your work as you progress.
