Doing Gesture drawings with ink is a bit harder to me. With a pencil I mostly ghost over the paper and find the lines by drawing multiple ones but with ink every mistake is obvious and sometimes I go over mistakes and overwork them…

I tried the Nicolaides exercise where you look at a pose for 1 second and draw a really quick gesture. It is incredibly hard to capture the whole body correct.
When I started with Gesture drawings I hated doing them because I always compared my drawings to those of a master but it started being really meditative and chill. I slowly improve at doing them and become a bit faster on the side.
