Still Life/Cross contour

Hello guys,

Just watched some of Sheldon his videos and found the shell and the log kinda nice for drawing. And was wondering what’s your favorite object to draw. I would like to have something portable where I can work on the fundamentals.

And any tips on improving on cross contour? Should I draw specific objects? Like vases or something else?

Pillows, cushions, couches, blankets, sheets. It spent a lot of time just drawing these. It’s really how I learned to describe any form.
