I haven’t seen as much progress as I would have liked with my anatomy and figure drawings recently, so I am going to attempt this challenge in the hopes it helps. Any critique or advice is more than welcome.
More nice work there, Jasper. Very nice fluid, flowing forms again. Interestingly, for me, the fluidity is lost somewhat with the gouache (or watercolour?) wash in the last study where the ragged edges of the shaded areas break up the flow.
I agree that the mix of ink and wash defiantly hinder the flow of the drawing, I am going to continue to experiment with ways of rendering and hopefully overcome that problem.
Today I studied the anatomy of the for arm, which was more complicated than I anticipated, from Rey Bustos’ lectures. I completed a few sketches and tried out some rendering with brush pen.
