Hi there ! I have been trying to give a shot to a long time (approx 6 hours) portrait from one of the model photos provided by NMA (very cool galery !!), using conté sticks on black paper. I usually use this technique for fast chiaroscuro drawing on live model sessions, but it was worth trying. After a while, I realised I had a problem with the length vs height of the head, but anyway I went through all I could ! I also struggled with my tone scale, which was narrower than I thought so I had to rescale my tones several times in the process. I decided to go broader on the hair and torso so that the eye dont focus much on them.
Anything you guys could think of to help me render this better ?
