Hey there, I’ve always had an affinity to drawing since I was a child. I didn’t have resources to attend art school so I focused on self-directed learning. I’m drawn toward portraiture and have been since I was 16 years by learning the grid method through books by Lee Hammond and watching Bob Ross’ landscapes. My favourite medium is oil, watercolour, and pastel.  This site is a wonderful resource and I’m looking forward to learning.

    Welcome to the community, Turay!

We certainly have a lot of great content on the head and portrait. I recommend you do the Beginner’s course (even if it’s a refresher) and Beginning Head Drawing or Constructive Head Drawing, followed by the Frank Reilly Method,  Advanced Renaissance Head Drawing and then get into the painting courses. Also the Russian course has great anatomy of the head and neck material, especially on the skull and Rey Bustos’ anatomy series is great as well.
