Hi guys my name is gala i am 26, i joined the academy recently after years of not drawing or painting almost  at all

Decided to do take the challenge for the following reasons:

1.Create a habit of creating something daily

2.Be able to look at my progress

3.Apply the things i learn in the courses

My challenge will be a thumbnail drawing (of whatever) – 30 minutes of work at minimum.

    Wish me luck!

This is my first one, following steve huston shapes lesson, i sketched this from a refrence photo, first with simple geometrical shapes then applied the color and detail

Nice work. What mediums are you using for the colors?

    Thank you Deborah and Bryan😊

I am using a cheap pack of colored pencils with limited colors and some markers

Using simple mediums and small sized paper is helping me to be less stressed out about results and feel more free to create 😅

Todays painting is a take on sargent’s ‘carantion, lily, lily, rose.’

Using again the simple geometric shapes for the sketch,

I enjoy  this way of simplifying objects, it helps me draw much faster and be more confident with the finishing lines🐥

    Thank you Deborah and Bryan!

I am using small cheap pack of colored pencils and some markers

Using very limited mediums and a small sized paper makes me less nervous and more comfortable creating something😅

In the future i want to learn watercolor and goauche

Hi Gala! Wow this dog, his expression, these colors I love your style so much. And your version of Carnation, Lily, Lily Rose is adorable.
By the way, what is the size of the paper ? 😮

PS : I saw you had trouble postings, I had this problem but I contacted Joshua on his thread and he solved it for mine. I can’t wait to see more of your works 🙂
