In this lesson, draftsman and painter Danny Galieote will give you a broad overview of the major planes and structures of the head. You will learn how the head can be thought of as a three-dimensional sculpture in space, as you carve into spheres or boxes, then placing the features of the face within the larger forms. Next, you will be given a demonstration of the ‘rhythms of the face’ which will interact with the planes and provide you with a roadmap to follow as you design and render tones within the facial features.

this is the best teaching I have seen on understanding the structure and, so importantly, the rhythms of the head. I have been doing skull drawings and this is so helpful in understanding the next step.
