Digital self-portrait

I’m a self-taught artist. I only make line drawings and almost never use colour, so I did this one as a sort of colour value study.

The painting is beautiful. What program did you paint this in?

It is surprising that you say you mostly do line drawings rather than color because the color is quite strong. Although I am a beginner so take it with a grain of salt. It seems like you are losing some form in the lip area, the beard is flattening out the area beneath the lip, and around the jaw too.

But overall it is quite a nice self portrait!

Hi Bejarinski,

This is a great portrait! I really like the Northern Renaissance (Memling, Van der Weyden, Campin, Durer, etc,) feel here. Those are some of my favorite guys. Here are some ideas as to how I think this could be just ever so slightly improved.
