The anatomy/structural studies are on point! Great work!
March 16, 2018 at 5:23 pm #49551Thank you very much @KaranveerPlaha 🙂 Appreciate the compliment!
March 16, 2018 at 5:28 pm #49552I’ve spent the whole evening and into the night trying to work some more on the Daredevil drawing. Altered the clothing and the placement of right arm and legs. Don’t know how do the proportions look like, hopefully I’ll get to render it soon enough. Though before I do that the structure has to be OK enough for that.

March 20, 2018 at 3:06 pm #50684I appreciate you find the thread of mine inspiring. Sometimes I’m struggling quite a bit with drawings of mine. I haven’t even figured out any ways whatsoever to make myself known as an artist, nor do I know if it’d be even possible to make art for a living..
March 20, 2018 at 3:22 pm #50685Slightly altered the brightness & sharpness of the image, attempted to bring more attention to the character itself than the textured background behind.
Also started drawing another one yesterday, although only started to refine today.
Images seems to be compressed in the forum, although it’s expected as this forum is barely 2 months old. Hopefully we’d be able to see improvements to it. 🙂

April 30, 2018 at 2:00 pm #61591Great stuff so far, looks exactly like the stuff I’d like to be doing. Have you looked at any other anatomy books? I hear good things about Hampton and Goldfinger’s books.
May 2, 2018 at 4:29 am #61971@alec.justice00 Thank you for the kind words. Although for the past month I haven’t been drawing anything, nor did I use NMA for that matter, in fact I felt like giving it all up. But that would make more harm in the long run, so hopefully I’d get back to it soon enough. Going on a vacation very soon to Rome, Italy and hopefully some of the art and rchitecture I see might inspire me in a way…
I never was very passionate about neither art-making, and learning anything on my own seems more like a chore than an exciting venture. I’ve got handful of art books I’ve rarely opened, which makes me even more frustrated given the fact that I bought them but have not used once.
Neither do I have positive outlook on my art journey, I don’t really believe I’m able to become as good, if not even better than the successful artists of today. Seems very much impossible. Still a struggling beginner whose art isn’t worth doing perhaps.
This one was finished a month ago, after which I felt too frustrated for some reason.
May 2, 2018 at 1:28 pm #62064I think it looks pretty good!
And keep at it, it’s all about mileage and keeping the drawing habit! There’s already a huge amount of progress in your drawing ability that I can see from what you’ve posted here. Even if NMA or your books don’t inspire you, find something that does and draw that instead for a while.
May 8, 2018 at 1:25 am #63216Hey man,
Sorry to hear you’re feeling frustrated. When you say that you don’t think that you can become good, you should look back at even the images on this thread, it’s clear to me that you’re improving loads.
I think as Alec says, maybe try to be a bit free for a while – don’t be too strict with working through courses. Maybe try to find an artist that you like and copy some of their stuff for a while. I was feeling a bit irritated with drawing and I’ve always wanted to try oil painting, so I just gave it a go and I absolutely love it. Maybe try using a medium you haven’t tried before.
Hope to see you post again soon and hope you had an awesome time in Rome.
March 27, 2021 at 2:44 pm #1307965Hello! Just recently decided to be part of NMA again! Figured it’d be nice to subscribe for a whole year, while it’s discounted. And to dedicate more time to improve myself as an artist. I did draw while I was not a member for the last two years, but very inconsistently and motivation was hard to come by. Here are couple of things I tried to do over the last two years.
All of those were done digitally. Eye was drawn while following along Proko’s eye tutorial. Last two done in Procreate. The rest in Clip Studio Paint.
