You’ll begin by learning about the tools and materials necessary for working with marble, including everything from traditional hand tools to modern pneumatic hammers and angle grinders. Moritz will demonstrate how to set up your workspace and take precise measurements from your reference material. As you progress through the course, you’ll discover the technique of reductive sculpting, learning how to carefully shape and refine the marble to achieve the desired form. Under Moritz’s guidance, you’ll create a bust and a hand, mastering the skills needed to create your own refined marble sculptures. By the end of this course, you’ll have gained the knowledge and confidence to embark on your own marble sculpting projects.
