In this lesson, instructor Kathleen Quaife-Hodge will spend time completing her treadmill walk animation. You will study the common mistakes when animating walk cycles. Then, Kathleen will move on to teach you how to draw the progressive walk, which is a walk across the page.

This lesson belongs to the course Walk and Run Cycles in Animation. In this 5-week course, Michael Cedeno and Kathleen Quaife-Hodge will take you through a super informative journey on how to animate walk and run cycles. Kathleen will introduce you to the treadmill walk and the basic progressive walk. Then, Michael will show you how to take these walks to another level by adding character and attitude. You will also explore the dynamics of animating the basic progressive run and the treadmill run. After this course, you will gain greater confidence in creating animations that walk or run off your page.

Throughout this course, you’ll have access to the NMA community for feedback and critiques to improve your work as you progress.
