In week two, instructor Miles Yoshida will demonstrate hatching curvilinear and squiggling lines using inking tools such as a ballpoint pen, a technical pen, a nib pen, and a brush. You will study the signature mark-making styles of Old Masters like Leonardo da Vinci, Albrecht Durer, and Michelangelo. Then, Miles will teach you how to apply what you have learned in a compositional study of basic forms.
Throughout this course, you’ll have access to the NMA community for feedback and critiques to improve your work as you progress.
