My goal is to finally dedicate myself to actually creating art consistently, I’ve struggled for the longest time and its really held me back.
I will allow myself to draw figures as well if i get really bored but id like to mainly focus on heads. I’m going to do this alongside the beginners head drawing course.
Day 1 12/30/22.
I’ve been drawing much more consistently this last month or so but still kind of aimless so i hope this helps.
Day 2 12/30/22
I figured I would do a self portrait today to use as a profile picture but I’m not really happy with how it turned out.
At the very least it will be interesting to use as a point of reference for how I improve.
Need to work on capturing likeness, very noticeable when you’re drawing yourself.
Day 3 12/31/22
I started the actual course today, tried to apply some of it to this one, I might come back and render this one more but I’m kind of more focused on refining the construction phase right now.
Day 4 1/1/23
Did some assignments for the head construction course today (2nd pic). Tried to draw with charcoal for the first time, it turned out kind of messy. Also rendered yesterdays portrait a little more.
Day 5 1/2/23
Did a bunch of smaller drawings today. This is probably the best of them.
I’ve noticed my accuracy really suffers when I draw with mediums other than graphite, obviously that’s mostly due to lack of experience
but it kind of sucks because its pretty hard to get a graphite drawing to be realistically dark without it being super shiny.

Did a bunch today. All the drawings in red are from imagination.

I did a lot of practice today but I don’t want to flood my post so here’s just some of the ones I thought were decent.

Did some charcoal practice today. Did some stuff other than just portraits as well.
