I’m back! It was so funny when I looked at my cat drawing today. It was like, “who drew this?”… just like he mentions in the sight-size lesson. Anywho… I spent some time adjusting the geometry of the face, and it seems much closer to me today (but will see how it looks tomorrow, haha.) The center of the nose between the eyes still looks a little twisted. Will work on the ears and rest of the head tomorrow.

Nice! I would definitely put a center line through the face and try to find even more corners.

Thanks! Do you mean diagonally along the bridge of the nose?

Joshua, that advice to draw a line down the face helped so much. It’s incredible how it instantly pulls out all the other angles of the face that aren’t mirrored properly.

Spent a little time on the ear today. I’m not approaching the shading consistently, and I think it shows. Maybe time to start that second Bargue plate and return to this in a few days. I’m really liking working digitally; Being able to instantaneously undo any mark is such a luxury.

Glad the advice helped! You can do the same thing along the head at the widths if the eyes.

A good drawing, which got even better.
