Colored Pencil Portraiture: Developing the Eyes and Nose

In this lesson, instructor Fei Meng will begin a portrait drawing using colored pencils. You learn how to start with rendering the eyes. Then, Fei will move to the nose. You will discover how to work section by section, keeping the drawing process clean and organized.

This lesson belongs to the course Colored Pencil Portraiture. In this 10-week course, Fei Meng will walk you through the fundamentals needed to make captivating portrait drawings with colored pencils. You will learn how to create color palettes, execute delicate blending techniques, and develop a fully realized portrait from start to finish. Fei will demonstrate how to construct individual features of the face, like the eye, nose, mouth, and ear. After this course, you will have a concrete understanding of how to render with colored pencils to create your very own portrait drawings.
