In this lesson, master draftsman and painter Danny Galieote will walk you through a figure drawing of a male back on a mid-toned paper drawn with black and white Conté pencil. You will learn how to lay in the subtle gesture of the figure and then block in of the major structural forms. Next you will learn how you can use overlaps, wedging forms and tonal relationships to lead the viewer’s eye across the form giving your drawing an overall cohesiveness and solidity.
