    This is a great figure piece. I love the set value range and the clear and deliberate distinction of your shadow shapes. Mark is great for teaching this. The addition of the rectangular shape in the background “wall” really helps to make the figure feel like he’s in a space and part of the scene. I really like it- Nice work .I’m finding it tricky to find things to critique – apologies.

    How are you finding the figure section of the course? I’ve done the head section and planning to move onto the figure after I finish Karl Gnass’ course.

    Nice work! I don’t know if this is helpful but I was in that class with Mark.

    I included an image of the drawing I did that day. Obviously we are working in different styles but hopefully some of the 3d modeling of form is helpful.
