Hi Babita, The image is in the references tab underneath the video 🙂
Thanks Natacha I appreciate the kind words, I also admire you animal drawings, they are really fantastic. The movements is captured so effortlessly.
The primary inspiration was from Zdziław Beksiński who has inspired a generation of artist. Especially those involved in apocalyptic or dystopian designs
I ended making it an excuse for an anatomy exercise, So ill probably keep evolving it in some other direction.
If I can find a way to design it in an interesting way.. I may transform the head into a squid. Or it may just be too much 🤷🏼♂️
But i really want to create some movement in the front view
Stellar work! I really need to study the arm too.
One thing I’ve noticed is that some of these look like they are in perspective. If so great job 👏🏻 if not it might help to double check your measurements. I tend to loose them when i start adding forms. I think it’s because I get attached to my pencil marks and neglect my eraser lol
But again these are great! Keep going!
Hey JJ this is great, especially considering you were having an off day!
I believe that we shouldn’t compare our wost work to our best work. Instead, compare your current worst work to your old worst work. Seeing progress there shows me how much I’ve really cemented into my memory. Hope that helps.
Keep it up👍🏻
Soo I kindof went AWOL.
I decided that I needed to start drawing from imagination to test my knowledge.. and well, it’s been difficult. I’m not comfortable posting those drawing anywhere except the trash can 😅
So this would be day 29 if it counts? not sure if this is appropriate for this site but 🤷🏼♂️ wth.
This started as a sketch, I liked the idea enough, but I have a really hard time working out problems in 2d. So i brought it into zbrush. Here is the z-sketch so far
I just noticed the humorous is really bent..
Next step: check anatomy and fix issues
Then maybe decide if i want to keep the egg head or not

Day 21
My health is almost back to normal
There was one day in between where I taught my nieces and nephews how to draw.. but there isn’t much to show since it was conceptual. So I will resume here.
I think the cheek is reading like a squished in pastry.. oh well
