Hi Tim. What a fun subject and I like you included the original image of the steps. I can really sense the space and feeling of taking those steps down into that delightful descending ally of steps and houses. I enjoy the apparent spontaneity I sense here too.

    Hi Heidi

What a lovely critique I am in England and just got my green tea + toast with marmite and peanut butter so a perfect combo  these steps are in Folkestone Kent and your right the changes I made were pretty organic

I am  now transforming other unlikely alley ways steps in the town into dream spaces someone said it’s much easier to inhabit a place when your not there and when I sit and draw plein air Folkestone becomes a venice of the mind

I just had a look at your work on  website

Stunning , the paintings of   horses are transcendent and uplifting they have such a subdued power  the restrained muscularity and calm is overwhelming

    also adore your figurative work

    🙏Kind regards

    Tim

Really nice expressive sketch, really like the loose cast shadows that you added. Good job!!

This is beautiful, Tim! I love the linear quality. The composition draws me in, and I feel like I am walking down the steps. It reminds me of a photo I took in Sitges a few years ago that I intended to paint someday, and it brings back wonderful memories. Thank you for sharing!

This is quite a charming drawing. Very expressive; feels like a place I’d like to visit 🙂 Good job on the aerial perspective too!
