In this lesson, Leo helps you get into the basics of academic drawing study; specifically, the Charles Bargue course. You’ll practice copying a beginner Barge plate, along with using the Sight-Size drawing tools – a mirror and a plumb line.

Have you ever wanted to learn how artists can just look at an object and replicate it, full scale?

Join the masters from Barcelona and Florence Academies of Art — Joe Altwer and Leo Mancini-Hresko in their Sight-Size drawing course.

This covers fundamentals based on theory and practice of this particular method.

Learn how to set up your workplace, block in a figure with straight lines, develop body gesture, contour, and shadow shapes. We’ll go from still Bargue plates and plaster casts, to live models; from simple light-and-shade pattern sketches to full tonal range works.

By the end of this Sight-Size Method lesson, you’ll be an expert.
