Sherman’s 100 day portrait challenge

Thank you, Tim and Vera. I usually use colored pencils on toned Strathmore, but the last 2 were graphite pencil on smooth paper.

Hello Sherman,

I just took a stroll through all your drawings, and see a definite improvement.  I also wanted to really congratulate you on all you have accomplished, especially when you have been dealing with cancer treatments at the same time.  I think you should be incredibly proud of yourself for managing to draw almost every day!  That is difficult to do at the best of times and when life throws other challenges at you it is even more difficult.  Well done!  You have inspired me to seriously think about starting my own 100 day challenge in the new year.

You have impressive abilities and amazing courage. I can’t even imagine what you’ve been through. I have a background in art therapy, and I’ve seen how art can be a powerful way to cope with grief and trauma. It’s inspiring to see how your work has become even stronger during your 100 Day Challenge.
