Setting Up and Drawing a Comic Scene

In this lesson, you will study how to create a comic scene from start to finish. Instructor Ryan Benjamin will teach you to analyze the script before sketching out rough studies of different panels. To begin, you will learn the drawing and inking materials needed for the course. Ryan will teach you the basics of cross-hatching. Then, you will explore the importance of primitives in constructing complex shapes. Ryan will show you how to apply the fundamental lighting principles to render comic characters. You will watch him set up a comic scene from a script. Lastly, you will study the different inking techniques used in comics.
