In this lesson, master sculptor Eric Michael Wilson demonstrates the entire process of sculpting a half-life portrait in clay. Eric will guide you through the complex and subtle subject of head sculpting covering the skull, key landmarks, major planes and structures, and much more. You will learn the full process, from creating a simple armature, to laying on the correct amount of clay, to building a simple constructive template, and finally refining the forms of the head and face while capturing a likeness of the subject.
