Removing sculpture from the armature support.

I am really enjoying & learning from the videos on sculpting on a wire armature with an armature support.

However, the ones that I have watched  to date end with the finished sculpture still attached to the pipe support.

How is the sculpture then detached from this support? And ensure that the sculpture will “stand alone” & support itself?

Have I missed something? Any hints?
