    Nice grind here. Spend time on the construction of forms (boxes, tubes, spheres) before you commit to your contours/overlaps. Really nail down that initial gesture too!

    I’m finishing my own hand study from Steve’s book and it is a doozy! So much! So damn hard too! Go go!

    Thank you!  I really need to slow down.  Get the gesture then make sure the structure makes sense.  My brain keeps getting hijacked by contour. 🙂

    I studied with Vilppu a year ago about this same time (well we finished late February). And he really did harp on us to take things slow and feel it out. He called out a bunch of us for focusing too much on contour right away. Comes with practice the longer you do it. Keep it up.
